To celebrate Singaporeâs birthday, KFC has just launched two new items GoldSpice Chicken and Chocolate Hazelnut Fries. Available from 4 July to 9 August 2018, the Goldspice Chicken is fried to crispy perfection, before being generously coated in salted egg, curry, chilli and sweet basil. The taste is super decadent, and you will definitely want more than the standard two piece meal $ Fans of Nutella will be addicted to their Chocolate Hazelnut Egg Tart $ as well as their Chocolate Hazelnut Fries. The former features a light puff pastry containing smooth egg custard and a rich hazelnut chocolate centre. For the Chocolate Hazelnut Fries, crispy golden fries are drizzled with creamy hazelnut chocolate sauce, which is basically a dream come true for those who love both items. The GoldSpice Chicken and Chocolate Hazelnut Egg Tart are available via delivery and at all outlets except Sentosa, KidZania and the Singapore Zoo. The Goldspice Salted Egg Fried Chicken is a seasonal special that has appeared on the KFC menu since 2018. Each time it appears, it sells out really quickly as well. Hendra Yuniarto, the KFC Indonesia marketing general manager, said the newest flavor was part of its innovation campaign called "Taste of Asia," which was launched last year. "Why salted egg? Because salted egg is already familiar to the Indonesian tongue. "In Indonesia, we are targeting trends in the categories of chili and savoriness. Since 2017, we have developed new dishes [for each year] through to 2019. This year, we have started to develop a new dish for 2020," Hendra said.
